- Place the chai tea bags in a heatproof measuring cup and add 1/2 cup boiling water. Steep for 4 minutes, or within the tea package directions, then remove the bags.
- Set the heatproof cup in an ice-water bath without allowing bath water into the tea. Stir occasionally and cool completely, about 15 minutes. Restore the tea volume to 1/2 cup with cold water if needed. Do not blend hot tea in a sealed cup.
- Add cooled tea, milk, yogurt, pumpkin, peeled banana, maple syrup, and the measured ice to a blender. Secure the lid and blend for 45–60 seconds until smooth, following the appliance instructions. Stop the blender before scraping if needed.
- If too thick, blend in cold water one tablespoon at a time. Divide equally between two glasses and serve immediately.

Notes
Estimated nutrition uses ingredient weights and brewed black tea as a close proxy for the unsweetened chai infusion; spice extraction varies and is not individually quantified. Tea bags are removed, not eaten. Contains milk and caffeine; caffeine amount is not verified. Time assumes boiling water is ready; cooling can take longer. With previously chilled tea, preparation is about 10 minutes.
